The post position draw for the 2011 Prince of Wales Stakes, the second jewel in the Canadian Triple Crown, took place earlier this afternoon at Fort Erie Race Track. Seven horses will vie for the winner's share of the $500,000 purse, led by the runner up in the Queen's Plate, Hippolytus. Let's meet the field and see how they will line up on Sunday:

First race post time on Sunday at Fort Erie is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. The 2011 Prince of Wales Stakes will be run over one mile and three sixteenths on dirt and will be run at approximately 5:45 p.m. Check back later on in the week for my analysis and selections for the race.

Correction on post time - 1st race set for 2pm
Thanks for the catch! Fort Erie's website had said all post times were 12:45 p.m. except for twilight days, but I see 2:00 p.m. now.
