Woodbine Oaks Draw Set For Thursday

Canada’s top three-year-old fillies will go to the post on Sunday for the 56th running of the Woodbine Oaks presented by Budweiser. Entries into the race are due tomorrow morning at 10:30 a.m. and the draw will take place at WEGZ Stadium Bar shortly afterwards, at 12:15 p.m.  

Daily Racing Form’s Bill Tallon noted that as of May 31, anywhere between eight and 11 fillies could make their way into the starting gate on Sunday.

CBC will have the Woodbine Oaks presented by Budweiser live during a one hour special on Sunday, beginning at 4:30 p.m. CBC will also show the Queen’s Plate Trial, which is race eight on Woodbine’s Sunday program, one race before the Woodbine Oaks. Brenda Irving will host the telecast alongside Woodbine Racing Analysts Jim Bannon and Jeff Bratt. Sandy Hawley and Dawn Lupul will also provide analysis on horseback.
