Here’s your daily look at the activity of the nominees for the 2011 Canadian Triple Crown for June 1, 2011:


- Soul of Gold has been entered into the first race at Churchill Downs on Friday. The race is a maiden claming race ($40,000 - $35,000) for three-year-olds and up, traveling one mile on dirt. Soul of Gold has been entered for a claiming tag of $40,000 and has drawn post one. He is trained by Dallas Stewart and will be ridden by Kent Desormeaux.

- Withdrawal has been entered into the second race at Woodbine on Friday. The race is a claiming race ($32,000 - $30,000) for three year olds, traveling six and one half furlongs on Woodbine’s polytrack. Withdrawal has been entered for a claiming tag of $32,000 and has drawn post four. He is trained by Mark Casse and will be ridden by Quincy Welch.

- Celtic Conviction has been entered into the fourth race at Woodbine on Friday. The race is an allowance race for Ontario-sired three-year-olds and up, which have never won three races, traveling one and one sixteenth miles on the turf. Celtic Conviction has drawn post six. He is trained by Michael Doyle and will be ridden by Emile Ramsammy.

- Okiyama has been entered into the sixth race at Woodbine on Friday. The race is an allowance race for Ontario-sired three-year-olds and up, which have never won two races, traveling one mile and one sixteenth on Woodbine’s polytrack. Okiyama has drawn post eight. He is trained by John Mattine and will be ridden by Luis Contreras.

No Queen’s Plate Nominees chose to work today.
