The Queen's Plate Contenders: June 3, 2011

Here's your daily look at the nominees for the 2011 Canadian Triple Crown for June 3, 2011.

- Blackstone Bay raced in the third race at Woodbine on Thursday. The race was a maiden special weight race for three-year-olds that was run over six and one half furlongs on polytrack. Blackstone Bay finished fifth beaten nine lengths.

- Delawana and Ice Pilot have both been entered into the seventh race at Woodbine on Sunday. The race is a maiden special weight race for three-year-olds and up, traveling one mile and one sixteenth on turf. Delawana has drawn post five and Ice Pilot has drawn post three for the race. Delawana is trained by Michael Keogh and will be ridden by David Moran. Ice Pilot is trained by Mark Frostad and will be ridden by Emma-Jayne Wilson.

- Hippolytus, Imhotep, Speed Ring, Sandy Gully, Check Your Soul, Bear’s Chill, Strike Oil, Bowman’s Causeway and Sensational Slam will all race against each other in Sunday’s Plate Trail Stakes at Woodbine. The race is a restricted stakes race for three-year-olds foaled in Canada and will be run over one mile and one eighth on polytrack. Here’s how the field will look heading into the gate for the race:

- Roxy Gap, Grand Style and Inglorious will all race against each other in the Woodbine Oaks presented by Budweiser on Sunday. The race is a restricted stakes race for three-year-old fillies foaled in Canada and will be run over one mile and one eighth on polytrack. Roxy Gap has drawn post seven, Grand Style has drawn post four and Inglorious has drawn post three. Roxy Gap is trained by Mark Casse and will be ridden by Patrick Husbands. Grand Style is trained by Michael Doyle and will be ridden by Eurico Rosa Da Silva. Inglorious is trained by Josie Carroll and will be ridden by Luis Contreras.

- Oh Canada worked five furlongs at Woodbine this morning. The three-year-old gelding breezed five furlongs in 1:01.60 over Woodbine’s dirt training track. The workout ranked fourth out of 12 horses who worked that distance on the training track this morning.
