The Queen's Plate Contenders Part 2: April 17, 2011

Here's a look at how the nominees for the 2011 Canadian Triple Crown performed in their races on Saturday, April 16, 2011:

- Blindsidehit raced in Woodbine's second race on Saturday. She finished sixth beaten 16 lengths in an allowance race for three-year-old fillies.

- Red Ace and Strike Oil raced against each other in Keeneland's fourth race on Saturday. Red Ace finished second beaten one half of a length and Strike Oil finished 10th beaten 11 lengths. The race was an allowance race for three-year-olds.

- Blackstone Bay and I Want You to Know raced against each other in Woodbine's seventh race on Saturday. Blackstone Bay finished second beaten by a head and I Want You to Know finished eighth beaten 21 and three quarter lengths. The race was a maiden special weight race for three-year-olds.

- Black N Beauty scratched out of the eighth race at Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races. He instead ran in Woodbine's eighth race, the Woodstock Stakes, against Oh Canada and Top Prospect. Oh Canada finished first by three quarters of a length over Black N Beauty, who finished second. Top Prospect finished sixth beaten five lengths.

- Eyes of Blue raced in the eighth race at Gulfstream Park on Saturday. Making his first lifetime start, he finished 11th beaten 19 and one quarter lengths. The race was a maiden special weight race for three-year-olds.

- Queen'splatekitten and Sensational Slam raced against each other in Keeneland's ninth race on Saturday, the Grade I Toyota Blue Grass Stakes. Queen'splatekitten finished seventh beaten six lengths and Sensational Slam finished 12th beaten 12 and three quarter lengths.

- Path to Home raced in the seventh race at Hastings Racecourse. He finished eighth beaten 22 and one half lengths in an allowance optional claiming race for three-year-olds.
