The Queen's Plate Contenders Part 2: April 14, 2011

Here's the second half of your daily look at the 2011 Canadian Triple Crown Nominees. In this section, we will tell you which nominees will be competing on the racetrack on Saturday.

- Eyes of Blue has been entered in Saturday's eighth race at Gulfstream Park. The race is a maiden special weight race for three-year-olds that will be contested over seven furlongs on dirt. Eyes of Blue will start from post 10. He is trained by Justin Nixon and will be ridden by Melanie Pinto.


- Red Ace and Strike Oil have been entered in Saturday's fourth race at Keeneland. The race is an allowance race for three-year-olds which have never won a race other than maiden, claiming or starter or which have never won two races that will be contested over one mile and one sixteenth on all weather track. Red Ace will start from post one and Strike Oil will start from post eight. Red Ace is trained by Steve Margolis and will be ridden by Shaun Bridgmohan. Strike Oil is trained by Mark Casse and will be ridden by Rajiv Maragh.

- Sensational Slam and Queen'splatekitten have been entered in the Grade I $750,000 Toyota Blue Grass Stakes, the ninth race at Keeneland on Saturday. The Toyota Blue Grass Stakes is for three-year-olds that will be contested over one mile and one eighth on all weather track. Sensational Slam will start from post six and Queen'splatekitten will start from post 12. Both horses are trained by Todd Pletcher. Senational Slam will be ridden by Jose Lezcano, while Queen'splatekitten will be ridden by John Velazquez.

- Blindsidehit has been entered in the second race at Woodbine on Saturday. The race is an allowance race for three-year-old fillies which have never won a race other than maiden, claiming or restricted allowance or which have never won two races that will be contested over seven furlongs on all weather track. Blindsidehit will start from post two. She is trained by Michael Doyle and will be ridden by Emile Ramsammy.

- I Want You to Know and Blackstone Bay have been entered in the seventh race at Woodbine on Saturday. The race is a maiden special weight race for three-year-olds that will be contested over five and one half furlongs on all weather track. I Want You to Know will start from post eight and Blackstone Bay will start from post three. I Want You to Know is trained by Mike Keogh and will be ridden by Tyler Pizarro. Blackstone Bay is trained by Mark Casse and will be ridden by Luis Contreras.

- Oh Canada, Top Prospect and Black N Beauty have been entered in the $150,000 Woodstock Stakes, the eighth race at Woodbine on Saturday. The Woodstock Stakes is for three-year-olds and will be contested over six furlongs on all weather track. Oh Canada will start from post eight, Top Prospect will start from post seven and Black N Beauty will start from post five. Oh Canada is trained by Robert Tiller and will be ridden by Luis Contreras. Top Prospect is trained by Ralph Biamonte and will be ridden by Corey Fraser. Black N Beauty is trained by Dale Romans and will be ridden by Tyler Pizarro.

- Black N Beauty is also cross-entered in the $100,000 Blue and Gold Stakes, the eighth race at Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races on Saturday. The Blue and Gold Stakes is for three-year-olds and will be contested over seven furlongs on dirt. If he starts in this race instead of the Woodstock Stakes at Woodbine, Black N Beauty will start from post two. Rajiv Maragh is the listed jockey.

- Path to Home has been entered in the seventh race at Hastings Racecourse on Saturday. The race is an allowance optional claiming race for three-year-olds that will be contested over six furlongs on dirt. Path to Home will start from post two and available to be claimed for $75,000. He is trained by Terry Clyde and will be ridden by Jorge Espitia.
