With so much going on with the Queen's Plate Contenders today, it is necessary to split today's post into two parts: race entries and workouts. Let's start with part one of today's look at the 2011 Canadian Triple Crown nominees, the workouts:
- Soul of Gold worked five furlongs at Churchill Downs this morning. The three-year-old colt breezed five furlongs in 1:02.60 over Churchill's dirt track. The workout ranked 10th out of 18 horses who worked that distance this morning.
- Eyes of Blue worked three furlongs at Palm Beach Downs this morning. The three-year-old gelding breezed three furlongs in 39.20 over Palm Beach's dirt track. Eyes of Blue was the only horse to work that distance this morning.
- Clean House worked four furlongs at Fair Hill Training Center in Maryland this morning. The three-year-old gelding breezed four furlongs in 50.00 over Fair Hill's all weather training track. The workout ranked first out of two horses who worked that distance this morning.
- Withdrawl worked five furlongs at Woodbine this morning. The three-year-old gelding breezed five furlongs in 1:02.00 over Woodbine's main track. The workout ranked 12th out of 25 horses who worked that distance this morning.
- Top the Podium worked three furlongs at Woodbine this morning. The three-year-old colt breezed three furlongs in 37.40 over Woodbine's main track. The workout ranked third out of six horses who worked that distance this morning.
- Pender Harbour worked three furlongs at Woodbine this morning. The three-year-old gelding breezed three furlongs in 39.40 over Woodbine's main track. The workout ranked sixth out of six horses who worked that distance this morning.
- Okiyama worked four furlongs at Woodbine this morning. The three-year-old gelding breezed four furlongs in 49.00 over Woodbine's main track. The workout ranked third out of 23 horses who worked that distance this morning.
