Here is your daily update on the 2011 Canadian Triple Crown nominees:
- I received a late notification yesterday that Red Ace had worked six furlongs at Keeneland on the main track. The three-year-old colt breezed six furlongs in 1:14.20. The workout was ranked 1st out of nine horses who worked that distance yesterday.
- Also a late notification yesterday, Soul of Gold worked four furlongs at Churchill Downs on dirt. The three-year-old colt breezed four furlongs in 48.80. The workout ranked 4th out of 21 horses who worked that distance yesterday.
- Pass Partout has been entered in Sunday's seventh race at Woodbine. The three-year-old filly will start from post seven in the six and one half furlong, maiden special weight race for three-year-old fillies. Pass Partout is trained by Michael Doyle and will be ridden by Jim McAleney.
- Storm Light worked three furlongs this morning at Woodbine. The three-year-old gelding breezed three furlongs in 37.40 on the dirt training track. The workout ranked 10th out of 11 horses who worked that distance on that surface today.
- Ghost Gunner worked three furlongs this morning at Woodbine. The three-year-old colt breezed three furlongs in 37.20 on the main track. The workout ranked 10th out of 17 horses who worked that distance on that surface today.
- Nanaimo worked four furlongs this morning at Woodbine. The three-year-old gelding worked his four furlongs handily in 48.60 on the main track. The workout ranked 13th out of 62 horses who worked that distance on that surface today.
- Pender Harbour worked three furlongs this morning at Woodbine. The three-year-old gelding breezed three furlongs in 38.00 on the main track. The workout ranked 13th out of 17 horses who worked that distance on that surface today.
- Welloiledmachine worked six furlongs this morning at Woodbine. The three-year-old gelding breezed six furlongs in 1:13.80 on the dirt training track. Welloiledmachine was the only horse to work that distance on that surface today.
