The Queen's Plate Contenders: April 7, 2011

Here is your daily update on 2011 Canadian Triple Crown nominees:



- Grand Style has been entered into the Grade I $400,000 Central Bank Ashland Stakes on Saturday, April 9th, at Keeneland. The race is one mile and on sixteenth for Three-Year-Old Fillies. Grand Style  has drawn post seven for the race. She is trained by George Arnold II and will be ridden by James Graham.

- Oban, Bissix Hill and Put It On Hold, have all been entered into Saturday's sixth race at Woodbine. The race is a maiden special weight race for three-year-olds and will go six and one half furlongs. Oban, trained by Michael Keogh and ridden by David Clark, will start from post three, Bissix Hill, trained by Mark Casse and ridden by Luis Contreras, will start from post five and Put It On Hold, trained by Michael Doyle and ridden by Slade Callaghan, will start from post six.

- Justin's Tapit worked five furlongs at Gulfstream Park in Florida this morning. The three-year-old colt breezed five furlongs in 1:01.40. The workout ranked fourth out of eight horses who worked that distance today.

- Wonder Phil worked five furlongs at Woodbine this morning. The three-year-old gelding breezed five furlongs in 1:02.20. The workout ranked 14th out of 31 horses who worked that distance today.

- Okiyama worked three furlongs at Woodbine this morning. The three-year-old gelding breezed three furlongs in 36.40. The workout ranked 2nd out of 18 horses who worked that distance today.
