Big Red Mike Turns In Bullet Work

2010 Queen's Plate winner Big Red Mike turned in a bullet work at Woodbine on Monday morning, breezing five furlongs in 59.60. It was the fastest work at five furlongs recorded for Monday by the Daily Racing Form.

Looking to rebound from a disappointing sixth place finish in the Ontario Derby on September 25th at Woodbine, Big Red Mike also worked on October 10th, breezing five furlongs in 1:04.00. Looking at Woodbine's Stakes Schedule for the rest of the season, it looks like Big Red Mike could race again on November 13 in the Grade II Autumn Stakes at Woodbine. This race is for three year olds and upward and is run over one mile and one sixteenth on Woodbine's Polytrack.

2010 Prince of Wales Stakes Winner Golden Moka also worked Monday at Woodbine, traveling six furlongs on the turf in 1:18.00.
