The Queen's Plate Contenders: June 6, 2011

Here's your daily look at the nominees for the 2011 Canadian Triple Crown for June 6, 2011:

- Delawana and Ice Pilot raced against each other in the seventh race at Woodbine on Sunday. The race was a maiden special weight race for three-year-olds and up that was run over one mile and one sixteenth on turf. Delawana finished sixth beaten six and three quarter lengths and Ice Pilot finished 11th beaten 14 and three quarter lengths.

- Check Your Soul, Bowman's Causeway, Strike Oil, Hippolytus, Sensational Slam, Imhotep, Sandy Gully, Speed Ring and Bear's Chill all raced against each other in the Queen's Plate Trial on Sunday at Woodbine. The race was a restricted stakes race for three-year-olds that was run over one mile and one eighth on polytrack. Check Your Soul won the race over Bowman's Causeway by three and one quarter lengths. Strike Oil finished third beaten five and three quarter lengths, Hippolytus finished fourth beaten nine lengths, Sensational Slam finished fifth beaten 11 and one quarter lengths, Imhotep finished sixth beaten 11 and one quarter lengths, Sandy Gully finished seventh beaten 13 and one half lengths, Speed Ring finished eighth beaten 15 lengths and Bear's Chill finished ninth beaten 17 and three quarter lengths.

- Inglorious, Roxy Gap and Grand Style all raced against each other in the Woodbine Oaks presented by Budweiser on Sunday at Woodbine. The race was a restricted stakes race for three-year-old fillies that was run over one mile and one eighth on polytrack. Inglorious won the race by three quarters of a length, Roxy Gap finished fourth beaten six and one quarter lengths and Grand Style finished seventh beaten 12 and one quarter lengths.

- Queen'splatekitten worked four furlongs at Belmont Park this morning. The three-year-old colt breezed four furlongs in 48.54 over Belmont's dirt track. The workout ranked sixth out of 32 horses who worked that distance this morning.

- Wonder Phil worked five furlongs at Woodbine this morning. The three-year-old gelding breezed five furlongs in 1:00.60 over Woodbine's polytrack. The workout ranked fifth out of 28 horses who worked that distance this morning.
