Woodbine Entertainment and Queen's Plate.com are giving you the opportunity to manage your own virtual stable with the Queen's Plate Fantasy Challenge. Sign up for free and compete with At The Post in our own league, leading up to the Queen's Plate on Sunday, June 26th, 2011. There's over $15,000 in cash prizes to be won, but register now as the game begins this Wednesday, April 27th.
How does the game work?
Register now by clicking here at Queensplate.com. Once you register, you will have the opportunity to select 10 horses from a list of Queen's Plate nominees and one jockey from three different tiers. Once you like the horses and jockeys you have selected, you lock-in your stable to be eligible for the game. When your horses compete in a race, you will accumulate the same amount of purse earnings your horse earns as points. To accumulate the most points, you want to ensure that you pick horses who will be racing in stakes races. Your jockeys only receive points when they ride horses on the Queen's Plate eligible list.
There will be four different contest segments during the game where you can change up your stable:
Queenston Session: April 27th - May 8th
Marine Session: May 11th - May 23rd
Woodbine Oaks Session: May 25th - June 5th
Queen's Plate Session: June 8th - June 26th
What are the prizes?
Woodbine Entertainment has put together a great list of prizes for this contest. The grand prize winner will take home a HPI cash card with $3,000 loaded up on it. Here is the full list of overall contest prizes:
1st: $3,000 HPI Deposit or Horse Player Cash Card
2nd: $1,500 HPI Deposit or Horse Player Cash Card
3rd: $750 HPI Deposit or Horse Player Cash Card
4th: $500 HPI Deposit or Horse Player Cash Card
5th: $250 HPI Deposit or Horse Player Cash Card
6th - 15th: $100 HPI Deposit or Horse Player Cash Card
The top three contestants who accumulate the most points in each contest segment will also win great prizes:
1st: $1,000 HPI Deposit or Horse Player Cash Card
2nd: $600 HPI Deposit or Horse Player Cash Card
3rd: $400 HPI Deposit or Horse Player Cash Card
How do I play against At The Post?
I have created a mini-league for At The Post readers to compete against myself and anyone else who might be interested. To join my league, register for your account first. Once you log-in to the game, find the 'Leagues' page and click 'Join a League'. When prompted enter the following username and password to join:

Password: atp
